Research interests
Professor Yang served as the director of department of traffic engineering, the dean of our college, deputy party secretary and vice president of Tongji University. Now he is the deputy director of the Urban Traffic Planning Sub-society of China Urban Planning Society, the standing director of ITS China, director of traffic branch of SAE-China, vice director of Shanghai Institute of Traffic Engineering, etc. He is also the chairman of Tongji S&T Park Ltd.
Professor Yang has hosted many projects such as the traffic planning research of Shanghai world expo, Shenzhen and other 11 provinces and cities logistics system planning, the public transportation planning of Hefei and other four cities, the urban comprehensive transportation planning of Huizhou and other five cities, the urban intelligent traffic system planning of Shenzhen and other cities. Now he undertakes the research work of the key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Support Projects, and National 863 Program.
He won the first prize of Huaxia S&T Prize and gained the title of “Shanghai outstanding subject leaders” and the government special allowance. He has published one book entitled “traffic planning decision support system” and more than 100 papers.
